The implementation of digital filter on FPGA for the spectral fusing Gabor domain optical coherence microscopy
The purpose of this work is to study the suitable FPGA digital filters for Gabor domain optical coherence microscopy (GD-OCM). Based on the recently proposed spectral domain Gabor fusion, the hardware processing level of FPGA frame grabber is expected to provide better performance and reduce processing time as compared with that of original GD-OCM. However, due to limited resources of FPGA, we need to optimize the FPGAâ??s resources for the best speed performance and quality of GD-OCM image. We found that Chebyshev type I with Cascaded Second-Order Sections Form II with 6 order is the most suitable structure, which given a high throughput 80 MSample per second.
